As well as not eating at these restaurants it is also important to tell them why you will not be eating there - they need to know that by selling shark fin soup they are losing business. Unfortunately most businesses only seem to care about the bottom line, hence they will only act once they see that their refusal to act ethically is affecting profits. You can also give the manager a shark finning fact sheet (produced by the Shark Trust). If there is a restaurant in your area (or a store) that sells shark fin soup, try to attract attention locally: Write to your representative/MP, write to the press, join local groups on facebook and warn people about it as much as possible. Start a petition (either on-line or off-line) and take it to the restaurant.
